Defensible Space Advisors - Fire Safe Council of Nevada County

During this two day training, learn how to comply with defensible space laws in California, and best practices for wildfire preparedness and home hardening. Learn how to educate fellow residents to better prepare them for life in the Wildland Urban Interface (most of Nevada County).

Topics Covered: What is the law regarding defensible space, what may landowners do to protect their homes from wildfire, how does defensible space improve the odds of saving your home in a wildfire, what impact does home hardening have and additional information and resources.

Advisors will receive training materials at the class and spend time with a mentor in the field.
