Chris Wackerly

Chris Wackerly was born and raised in Nevada County. Chris brings a depth of experience in land management and technical experience to his role as Director of Operations.  His extensive background working in the technical and mechanical fields equips him with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the complex challenges of fire safety in our region. He is passionate about creating solutions with positive outcomes for fire safety, community resilience, and sustainable land management.

Chris loves the outdoors and enjoys riding motorcycles, snowboarding, and spending time on Nevada County’s endless number of lakes and rivers. He is committed to lifelong learning and continues to broaden is knowledge of the county's diverse ecology, culture, and history.
